Generosity and Inspiration: While working at Sears, I decided (or I was inspired) to listen to audio books/lectures on sales to up my skills. Strangely enough, those days I listened to the sales training, I did better than those days I listened to other audio books. I did learn a lot about selling and how to treat a customer. I wish I had done the same while at First Magnus, but I wasn’t given much time to try it out anyway.
One day my mom called and I had explained how I felt about moving back and she was excited. So much that she offered to give us a portion of her Christmas Bonus to pay for the move. She told me it was not a loan, but I’m pretty sure somewhere down the line I will be able to pay her back for that and for some of the other stuff she has done for me and my family.
Ever since my time at First Magnus, while I was waiting for my commissions to kick in and during all my time with unemployment, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stepped in to help with our physical and financial needs. The church welfare system is truly inspired. We were helped with food and even some of our larger bills.
